According to a recent report on fox business news, ID thieves are now targeting Home Equity Lines of Credit. The FBI has now issued a warning to unsuspecting homeowners checking their credit reports to make sure that they have not become victims of identity theft.

The FBI has stated that HELOC fraud as an “emerging scheme” adding further insult to injury in this already injured real estate market.
